Improv For everybodyCVLT begin offering adult classes in Improvisation in 2012 with a program that was then called Improv for Actors. But you don’t have to be a performer to benefit from an improv class. You don’t even need to be funny. All you need is a desire to get more out of life!
So what started out as the Improv for Actors program is now Improv for Everybody. Here are some of the benefits our classes offer:
- We unlock the joy that lies on the other side of fear.
- We empower people to make purposeful choices in their lives.
- We create a sense of connection through mutual understanding and teamwork.
The focus of the Improv for Everybody program is to foster creative expression and interpersonal effectiveness through the study of improvisation. We’re passionate about building on people’s existing strengths and helping them hone their instincts.
Whether you’re an actor looking to strengthen your performance skills, a professional who would like to be more comfortable giving presentations, or a shy person seeking more confidence, the Improv for Everybody program can help you achieve your goals.
[I] learned to think on my feet and get over my fear.
This class inspired me. A great confidence and self-esteem builder.
The practice of speaking and taking risks in front of others was extremely valuable … [the] class was fun and applicable to life outside the theater. It teaches new ways to think and relate and can help people grow.
