Development Manager
REPORTS TO: CVLT Board of Directors
Summary of Position:
The Development Manager is responsible for all fund raising activities for the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, a 501©(3) non-profit organization, located in downtown Chagrin Falls, Ohio, which includes a 248-seat Main Stage Theater, a 65-seat River Street Playhouse, the Sears River Room (all purpose, concessions) and the Neff Building (administrative offices, public restrooms, all purpose room).
This is a part-time hourly position starting at $40 per hour. Flexible schedule. This is a hybrid position which will require occasional presence at 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls.
Essential Functions:
- Maintenance of current grants, as well as researching and writing grants appropriate for CVLT, in cooperation with the Executive Committee and the Development Committee.
- Responsible for all aspects of donor cultivation, including meetings with current and potential donors and follow up phone calls, emails and acknowledgement letters.
- Selling ad space and invoicing advertisers for show Playbills.
- Solicitation of sponsors for productions and Special Events.
Additional duties as assigned by the CVLT President and Board of Directors.

- Strong donor cultivation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of non-profit regulations and compliance.
- Sales and solicitation comfort.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Business.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., Non-profit Management, Marketing, Communications)
