Mission Statement
CVLT is an Ohio 501(c)(3) arts non-profit organization.
The Chagrin Valley Little Theatre exists to enrich the cultural life of the Chagrin Valley and Northeast Ohio. Through the production of live theatre and related programming, CVLT advances the skills of individuals within the performing arts. Through multigenerational educational programming and outreach Chagrin Valley Little Theatre promotes equity, diversity and inclusion by bringing involvement in the performing arts to all.
Our Stages
CVLT is comprised of three buildings. The original space at 40 River Street houses the Main Stage and the Stuart & Roberta Sears River Room. The attached Neff Building at 38 River Street houses the Box Office, restrooms, and additional meeting space. The Shields Building at 56 River Street houses the River Street Playhouse, shop, prop and costume storage, and dance studio.
Accommodating 248 audience members, the Main Stage at CVLT is the primary venue for most of the theatre’s productions and special events. With a traditional proscenium-style stage and ten rows of seats, the Main Stage offers great seats just about anywhere.
The River Street Playhouse, located just down the street from the main CVLT building, is a venue for sometimes unusual and often “edgier” plays. This smaller proscenium space, which seats 65, is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen in 2024.
